HOWTOs are documents which provide help with various aspects of Linux. A number of HOWTOs have been written which deal with the use of Linux and particular (natural) languages or alphabets. HOWTOs for particular languages or countries do not necessarily address the same issues. The following may be of particular interest to translators (access from the title page):
A Meta project aimed at fully supporting the Arabic language in the Unix/Linux environment.

ITRANS is a pre-processor which converts English-encoded text into various Indian Language scripts for printing or display. The input text to ITrans is in a transliterated form: each letter in an Indian Script is assigned an English equivalent and the English characters are used to represent what will eventually appear in the Indian Language Script.
